ABSTRACT
The aims and objective of this research project is to analyse the extent of rapid development towards journalism education in Nigeria universities and polytechnics and to educate students on Journalism training in polytechnics. This study contains Significance, Scope and Limitation of the research work. Chapter one consist of the introduction to the study which discuss the meaning of Journalism and various types of Journalism. It also contains Historical Background of Journalism education in Nigeria. Chapter Two: this chapter vividly explains the definition of terms by various authors and reviewed the literature part of the topic. Chapter Three: this chapter consists of Research Methodology which contains facts about the case study, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Osun State and Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos State. The method used is survey and questionnaire data collection. Chapter Four: this consists of data analysis which shows the purpose of the research work and the observation of the data. Chapter Five: this contains the Summary, Conc1usion and Recommendation.
