Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of parental influence in the educational development of primary children in Kaduna South local government area of Kaduna state. Data was collected mainly through questionnaire and pupils representing the three primary schools. The result of the findings shows that most of the parents do not show interest in the activities of the local primary school children due to the present condition of hardship and to the facts that most of the parents are not educated to that aspect.   Consequently upon these results therefore, it was suggested that in order truly to solve this problem parent need to be educated by involving them actively in the development of the schools and then be notified about the academic progress of their words.
