ABSTRACT
The research investigated how policy measures of Nigerian Ports Authority contribute to the attainment of its corporate goals and objectives. The hypotheses were formulated and tested at a 0.05 level of significance. A corporate policy and organizational performance e questionnaire was designed and validated by the researcher. It was structured and administered to 110 randomly at their regional office. Survey findings revealed that, there is a varying degree of effect between corporate policy and performance of Nigerian Ports Authority. Empirical finding using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation co-efficient indicates that there is no significant relationship between corporate policy and the performance of Nigerian Ports Authority. consequents upon the above finding it is recommended that corporate policy should taken into consideration of all environmental factors affecting policies and strategies. Organizational goal and objectives should be considered before formulating policies and corporate policy issues must be identified and clarified.
