The Management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has approved February 1st as the resumption date for the 2019/2020 academic session.
In a statement issued by the University’s spokesperson, Dr. Benedicta Ehanire, students are directed to resume to their halls of residence in school as all academic activities both physical and online will commence with immediate effect.
She has also directed that only students with official receipts which shows evidence of payment of school charges, printed and filled the online questionnaire will be allowed into the various halls of residence on resumption.
She added that strict adherence to covid 19 protocols will be minded as students are expected to resume with atleast five pieces of washable facemask and 5ml of hand sanitizers each.
Accordingly, the first semester of the 2019/2020 academic session is scheduled to run from Feb 1st 2021 till April 1st 2021 while the Second Semester Commences April 5th, 2021.
While insisting on the enforcement of covid 19 preventive protocols, all students, staff and management of UNIBEN are advised to constantly wear their face mask about the school environment. Also noted that UNIBEN, under the administration of the current Vice Chancellor, Prof Lilian Salami, is poised to provide quality education without compromising collective safety.
